KORTUC Inc. has been collaborating with Professor Mark De Ridder at UZ Brussel to investigate the KORTUC radiosensitizing mechanism of action. New result from this research will be presented at annual meeting of ESTRO (European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology) held in May 2024.
In this study, it was shown the new mechanism of action of KORTUC’s radiosensitizing effect involves the induction of ferroptosis in addition to apoptosis on tumor cells simultaneously under hypoxic conditions.
